Heimr on Mythopoetic

Heimr

Uppsala, Sweden

Long ago, far away in the icy north, there lived a people whose world was enshrined in a sacred tree known as Yggdrasil. Their adventures and those of their gods were chanted and enacted by poets, and passed down from generation to generation.

In their world of omens and wonders, ravens were sent by Odin to observe the world of men, dwarves inhabited the mountains and made the most talented goldsmiths, capable of forging magical objects, and the most valourous warriors were transported to a magical hall after having succumbed on the battlefield.

Their home, their world – Heimr – is here retold and their symbols engraved and imprinted uniquely on papers made by the hand as was 2000 years ago.
